Getting our Mongolian tourist visas went perfectly.  The consulate does not have much of a web presence, so I had to call to clarify some conflicting information about visa costs and durations on two travel agency web pages.   I was able to reach them immediately and they were very helpful. We ended up sending our passports by mail and received them back with the visas after just a few days.

This is a good time to point out that Mongolia’s coat of arms / logo features a Pegasus as seen on the right.  I do not need to emphasize how awesome this is.
