Reflecting on Mortality

Yesterday after coming back from jogging and seeing the parade I decided to break out my inline skates and roll around the city. I went ice skating once in March which went real well so I was a bit overconfident and ended up wiping out.
I lost some skin on my arm, which put me in a sort of nostalgic mode -- it reminded me of the times as a little kid when I was virtually always bleeding somewhere after a day at the playground. Then I noticed that all is not well with my shoulder either, it isn't dislocated but it hurts and makes these audible popping noises when I move it -- sort of like the cracking sounds you can make with your knuckles. It didn't seem to have gotten much better over night -- annoying.
I still skated for a good hour after that and had my fun anyway, then headed back to get patched up.
Despite all this I still want to try these things sometime this summer:
